TRANSPORT APPLICATION
It allows for mutual acceptance of transport cards and pupil/student cards with an active transport application at the contracting carriers. Activated transport chip allows the holder to use the card as a transport card in the transport companies involved in the system of acceptance of the TransCard, on the basis of the applicable transport and tariff conditions of the individual transport companies. It may be used as an electronic transport wallet, a subscription time ticket (STT) or an electronic document for allowing to qualify for the discount at the carrier.
VALIDITY OF TRANSPORT APPLICATION
The transport application is valid for the period of 13 months from September 1 to September 30 of the following calendar year for Student cards (university students). During the month of September, students who continue the next year of the study program are allowed to travel for enrollment at a discount. This option is provided by the majority of bus carriers also ZSSK, a.s. but it is necessary to consult with a particular carrier as this is subject to its applicable tariff conditions.
CONTACTLESS CHIP CARDS
We offer contactless MIFARE chip cards that provide a high standard of user convenience when used in daily need. The basic functions include electronic identification of the cardholder. A chip is connected to an antenna around the perimeter of the card without its own power source. The card does not need any external power source. In the public transport environment, the card serves as a transport and identification means for recognizing the discount for traveling with SAD and ZSSK.
